Caryl Flinn teaches film, media, and gender studies the University of Arizona, where she is Professor of Women’s Studies and Media Arts; she has also taught at the Universities of Toronto and University of Florida. Her research has been supported by the Social Sciences Research Humanities Council of Canada and the German Academic Exchange Program, among others. Her courses are on film and popular culture, camp and kitsch, German cinema, cultural studies, along with critical theory and gender.
Caryl makes her home in Tucson with her human family and Chester and Bruno, alums of the local Humane Society.
